P&O cruise ship sets sail with ExxonMobil fuel

ExxonMobil Marine Fuels Ltd (EMMF) is keeping the latest addition to the P&O Cruises fleet in motion.

The Azura requires around 30,000 metric tonnes of fuel a year to operate – a small proportion of the total fuel supplied each year by EMMF to P&O Cruises’ parent company, Carnival group in Southampton.

Senior representatives of ExxonMobil Marine Fuels UK attended the launch two days before the ship’s maiden voyage.

Dancer Darcey Bussell produced a specially commissioned show featuring performers from the Royal Ballet at the event.
