Mobil North Sea LLC (MNS), an ExxonMobil subsidiary, is the designated operator of oil and gas fields in the northern North Sea, and a gas processing plant in the north-east of Scotland.
MNS operates the Beryl field, located 195 miles north east of Aberdeen, and the nearby associated subsea satellite fields Nevis, Ness, Katrine, Buckland and Skene. The Beryl field has now been operating for over 30 years and its maturity brings fresh challenges to maximise resource potential by embracing new technology.
MNS also operates the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) gas plant at St Fergus, 40 miles north of Aberdeen, which accepts gas from the Beryl field and from the Brae, Scott and Britannia fields. It also processes gas from the Atlantic and Cromarty fields owned and operated by Amerada Hess and BG Group.
MNS is committed to continuous efforts to identify and manage the safety, health and environmental risks associated with its activities, and to improve performance throughout its operations. An Environmental Management System enables MNS to conduct its business in a manner that is compatible with the balanced environmental and economic needs of the communities in which it operates. MNS's production offices are in Aberdeen, where the company has supported a community investment programme for many years.
